Adopt A Husky, Inc. is proud to present its sixteenth Annual Husky Hike. They are inviting you to be a part of our largest fundraiser of the year and show your support for rescue to the hundreds of people who attend each year. With increased attendance every year since its inception, they are always looking for ways to enhance the experience for all participants.
Please join their volunteers and family of adopters for a three mile hike with your dogs, or with one of our foster dogs! (Foster walkers must be over the age of 16 and registered at the foster tent by 10 am.) The Chicago School of Canine Massage will be attending to provide complimentary 15 minute pre- and post-event massages to all attendees.
The purpose of this event is to raise money for abandoned, abused, or injured Siberian Huskies so they may be properly cared for and placed in good homes. No matter what your monetary contribution is, you WILL make a difference in helping these deserving Siberian Huskies receive proper care and find a forever home.
Since August of 1998 their organization has expanded to include encompass most of four Midwest states and three Pacific Northwest states with a heavy concentration in the Illinois/Wisconsin area. Over 1,800 Siberian Huskies in our care have been placed in loving, permanent homes. The medical bills involved with our organization grow with each foster dog we take in. Our most costly medical expenses are from car crash victims, pregnant mothers, heartworm cases and puppy-mill shut downs. We usually have around 50 dogs in foster care at any time with a continual waiting list.
All monetary donations help to keep our costs down which allow us to spend more money on the care of our dogs and the ability to accept critical medical cases.
